Maybe the same arguments keep coming back, you feel distant from someone close to you, or you notice yourself caught in a pattern you can’t quite explain.

You don’t need to arrive with a clear problem or a defined goal. Your willingness to reflect and be curious about yourself and your relationships is what matters.

Joe Moore

Hi, I’m Joe Moore.

People often describe me as warm, steady, and easy to talk to. I aim to create a space where you can feel comfortable exploring your relationships, the difficulties you may be experiencing, and the patterns that seem to keep repeating.

Relationships can be complicated, whether with a partner, family, friends, or even in how we relate to ourselves. Therapy offers an opportunity to better understand these difficulties and the feelings that lie beneath them.

I don’t position myself as an expert on your life. Instead, I offer a thoughtful, honest, and collaborative approach, helping you make sense of your experiences and how they may be affecting your relationships.

You bring your experiences; I bring attention, training, and perspective.

How I work

Psychodynamic therapy is not advice-driven. I won’t be setting specific tasks or pursuing quick symptom relief.

Instead, we make sense of your relationships — with partners, family, friends and yourself — how they have taken shape over time, and how earlier patterns may still be influencing the way you relate to others now.

Together, we develop understanding over time — allowing change to emerge from insight rather than pressure.

Is this for me?

People who come to see me are often struggling in their relationships — with a partner, family or friends — or noticing the same difficulties repeating in ways they don’t fully understand.

It might be conflict or communication that keeps breaking down, feeling distant or misunderstood, a breakup you’re trying to make sense of, or finding it hard to let people get close.

You may already have a sense of your patterns—what’s harder is understanding why they persist, even when you’re aware of them.

You don’t need to be in crisis to begin therapy.

Sessions & fees

Sessions are 50 minutes and happen once a week, at a regular time, either in person in London or online. I charge £85 per session.

I offer an initial free 15 minute consultation as a way to think together about what brings you to therapy, and whether this way of working feels right for you.

Therapy is typically medium-term, often between 12 and 40 sessions, depending on your individual needs.

If you’d like to talk

Reaching out to a therapist can feel uncertain, especially when things feel difficult in your relationships or you’re not sure what to expect. A first conversation doesn’t commit you to ongoing work — it’s an opportunity to talk and see how it feels.

Just drop me an email or give me a call, and I’ll respond as soon as I can.
